Behind Fortune Cookies

That's a story behind this big box of fortune cookies. We went to dragon river for hakka chinese dinner.The waitstaff was extremely friendly and chatty with my mom. When we were ordering food, he couldn't wait to ask my mom for her nationality and which part of china she was from. My mom brushed him off and asked him back the same question before she replied. He said he was from Hong Kong. My mom nodded to him that we were from hong kong too. That was a lie! He then asked which part of hong kong? My mom replied Sai Wan and you leh? He replied, kawloon. The waiter asked again, are u here visiting? my mom said, yeah visiting my son. He lives here for more 10 years. The guy replied, " Yeah me too, I've been leaving here almost 25 years." The conversation carried on throughout the whole dinner. Man, what a big BS!!! At the end of the dinner, we got free desserts and a big box of forture cookies. The waitstaff came to us and he said, "We all from the same village, same people, here are your free cookies!" I didn't know what to say but looked at my mom . My mom was laughing so hard and both sisters couldn't hold their laughers. They ran out after hearing the whole lie. Man, I dont think i could go back to this restaurant for at least 2 months! I dont even know where Sai Wan in Hong Kong. ahhhh...
