Marin County Fair Part 1

What better place to celebrate July 4th at all american small town county fair? I went to Marin county fair in San Rafael, north of San Francisco, about 30min drive from golden gate bridge. I didn't think they'd charge an admission fee but it $12 per person. No, I'd try to buy children ticket, student or AAA discounts...no, no hope. So, dont even try!!! hehehe...j/k

Have you guys seen a mobile ATM machine? Well, here it is. It was my first time saw this. I brought enough money so I didn't have to withdraw any money. Not sure if they'd charge you a high fee to use this service. Then, I saw a mobile chinese food (picture right). I was surprised they served chinese food at the county fair. Maybe chinese food is so popular nowadays, you could just get it anywhere. But then, if you look at the picture, you'd notice they served corn dogs and teriyaki chicken. I was totally confused. I dont remember chinese food has corn dogs or teriyaki chicken. Now I know why so many americans think teriyaki chicken is the same as chinese food. It's like panda express has sushi rite?

No, I didn't get chinese food. We went for Finley's outback bbq instead. It was $10 for a plate but the food was sumptuous. David said, "It's 4th of july. We have to eat like all americans." I know i didn't work out for a few days but who cares right? I eat. I did! It was good. Now I know I've been missing out so much!

David got sausage and white meat that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I got all bbq chicken that came with wheat breads. Man, it was so delicious. I used the bread to dip the sauce.

Okay, the ginger cooler cost 2 bucks and it tasted insipid. I wonder why he was persistently pushing for the diet root beer. I told him, "No, i dont want your diet root beer. I want some home made ginger cooler." Who was I kidding..to rub salt into the wound. From 2nd picture, I dipped the last bbq sauce. Seriously, for all you scrawny aneroxic vegetarian wannabe people out there, go get some bbq ribs, pork or chicken, it's friggin' scrumptious! Dont go on a diet, you'd miss out alot.

  • i remember the chinese county faire food - they also have this at the Alameda County fair in the east bay too - it sounds like they still serve the same items - corn dog, chow mein, and teriyaki chicken. BBQ at 4th of july sounds good - geez we had japanese food here.
