NY Mayor cuts down on chinese food

I read an article from nytimes that Mayor Michael Bloomberg created a stir when he announced to the public that he wanted cut down on chinese food to lose weight. His decision to lose weight is for his up coming re-election compaign. On the other hand, Boomberg's decision has upset alot of chinese folks and restaurants. These are some of the chinese folks have to say:

Raymond Wong(can his name be any less chinese), 45, a manager at Joe's Shanghai, on Pell Street in Chinatown, hissed like an order of sparerib tips tossed in a deep fryer when asked his opinion of the mayor's nutrition decision. "He is making big mistake!" he said as waitresses bustled by him in the restaurant, which was packed for lunch with diners who apparently did not have political campaigns to prepare for.

Mr. Wong pointed to a photograph in the newspaper showing Mr. Bloomberg eating a piece of fried chicken. "Does he think that fried chicken is healthier than Chinese food?"

"Chinese people always skinny, never fat," (fat chinese people must hate this) he said, adding that when Rudolph W. Giuliani was mayor, Joe's Shanghai catered events at City Hall and at Gracie Mansion. He pointed to a photograph on the wall of Mr. Giuliani posing with the restaurant's owner.

"Maybe he is talking about takeout Chinese food," he said. "That is not real Chinese food. (really? take out food is not chinese food?) We have many strict vegetarians and finicky customers, and no one ever complained about the food being unhealthy."

Still, said Tom Pelosi, 44, who was eating cold noodles and pork dumplings with three friends at Joe's Shanghai, "If Bloomberg's cutting down on Chinese food, he's mayor of the wrong town."

Oh my fucking gawd, if the mayor wants to cut down on chinese food just let him. Whats up with these abominable folks? Yes, let's just face it. Chinese food has heavy carb and high calories. It will get your fat if you dont exercise. No, chinese people are not skinny. I am seeing more and more fat chinese people in downtown San Francisco. We shouldn't judge or generalize all chinese are skinny. How will the fat chinese feel about this? Maybe the mayor shouldn't announce his new diet to the public. He could just take a break from chinese food and eat bamboos for dinner. However, the mayor wanna eat is none of anyone business. Oh yeah, chinese food is fat fat fat. I dont care what people have to say but I still love my chinese food.

My apt was on the satellite map. Thank god it's only a used out-dated photos not "real time." That will be very creepy if they implement a "real time" satellite map. You'd be like talking to a friend..Oh so n so, can I come over to borrow sum salt? no, I'm not home. What do you mean you're not home? Yes, I'm at the mall shopping. But I saw you making out with a guy in front of your windows? says who? says god invented real time satellite babie! youre caught on camera! Now you dont even need webcam to say hi to your mom, it's all satellite control. I can see this technology shiet coming up very near future. Okay, I need to stop jabbering...I'm on my 2nd rockstar tonight. Sorry...no more blogging for tonight.

I made it...

Yes, I made it to Khamai dance troupe. Wahhhooo... I'm so happy only 6 people got picked from the audition. But that mean I'm going to be very busy next few months and wont have time to write my blog...oh well, I'd try to write more no matter what. Alright, it's time to dance.. move over se7en...MK is in the house! aaaight!!! I need to outstrip his dance moves.. hehehe..j/k

Explosion Next to my Office

When I first felt it, i thought it was an earthquake but it sounded something worse than just a quake. Something had just exploded like a loud big boom of thunder. My coworkers and I looked outside the windows and we saw smokes coming from Crocker Galleria next to us. Pedestrians were running away from the flames. It looked like the flames were coming from Palph Lauren polo store. My coworker and I were wondering was this another terrorist attack? We waited no time, one of the guys told everyone to leave the office. As we informed the office, we heard sirens coming from all directions. Quickly, we evacuted from the office and waited for further notice in the lobby. For the next 10-15min, noone really knew what was happening. We just heard sirens coming from everywhere. So, we decided to go home for our own safety.

I found out from the news online. There were an electricity vault which has bunch of electricity supplies coming below the manhole that exploded the transformer and caused the fire burst in flames, burned a 41yo woman and burnt the Ralph Lauren store. The cops blocked off a few streets and electricty went in split second around Kearny and Post streets.

left my wallet in a car repair shop

Alright, I came to office without my wallet because I left it in the car repair shop! I didn't even realise it until early this morning. My check engine light went off couple weeks ago and I had to drop it off for repair. I was at the gasoline prior to this to fill up the tank. I paid and I left my wallet sitting in the passenger seat. I was totally oblivious. I hope the owner will return my wallet. Sighs, now I'm so stressed. They don't open 'till 9am. I checked my bank accounts, nothing has been withdrawed yet. Oh my gawd, whats wrong with me????? Update: I got my wallet back. Mike Yamato is a honest guy. Nothing has been stolen from my wallet. Forest Fires Again?

Finallly, Indonesia has accepted the help of Malaysia and Singapore. For the past 2 weeks, Indonesia is battling a furious forest fires on East island of sumatra. Singapore and Malaysia are sending a team of firefighters to help and halt the despicable fires. As usual, Indonesia won't accept any help from neighboring countries until the damage gets really severe. According to my friend, the haze has polluted the whole Kuala Lumpar, Port Klang, and Kuala Selangor. Few days ago, the haze vengefully came in a short hailstorm. Come on, hailstorm in KL? that's really absurd. I'm really upset why the Indonesian government cannot stop the haze from the beginning? I mean it's happening almost every year. The government won't accept anyone help until the news make it to the world. Malaysia goverment needs to push forward to discuss this major crisis not wait until last minute. Now more poor populations in Indonesia are arising and driving many to the forest for illegal logging and mining. There will be more fires in an upcoming year. My advice to you is buy a fasionable designer oxygen mask and use it whenever you need it.

Allan Frias

My friend Allan Frias made it to the top 16 on the fox show "You Think You Can Dance." I'm so happy and excited for him. He's one of the best dancers in San Francisco who proves to many dancers that size doesn't matter. If you are a good dancer, you will make it to the top. Please vote for Allan on that show. Peter Jennings 1938-2005

It's 2:15 in the morning. I just learned that Peter Jennings has died of lung cancer at age 67. He's too young babie...too young... he's one of my favorite reporters who has great chrisma, presence, calm, and eloquent when you see him on tv. I remember when I first came to the US, I watched his news broadcast to learn English. During Sept 11th, he was a voice of calm and comfort and never frantic or abrasive. I want to thank him for all the good things that he has done. Love, mikey

Dinner Time...

This is so sinful. I'm eating Timtam and drinking mojitos for dinner...can you believe that? I didn't know what timtam was until my mom brought it from Malaysia. It's like a chocolate biscuit but with ecplise platform has tremendous chocolate flavors. It tastes really good and it's best to eat when it's refrigerated. I'm drinking Mojitos too. Mojitos are the easiest drink to make if you have a blender. You just need mints and diet soda like 7up or sprite. When I was in Vegas at the bellagio. My sisters and I went to a club party. I got 3 mojitos for all of us since they never tried mojitos before. Guess what? fucking $45!! I know the price was insane! I even asked the bartender to repeat what she said. Fuck no! I paid for it and plus $5 tips. I didn't wanna pay for the tips but then that girl was whooping her ass off to blend some ice for us. I felt sorry for her. But $45 for 3 mojitos??? Only happens in Vegas..
